Dusty Ducts

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fee for services?
Cost varies, please call the office to speak with a sales representative.

How often should such services be performed?
In the ACR 2006, Section 3.1 and Table 1 NADCA states the following: Industrial and Healthcare HVAC systems should be inspected once per year; Residential, Light Commercial, Commercial and Marine should be inspected once per year for the Air Handling Unit and once every two years for the ductwork. The need for more frequent cleanliness inspections is subject to numerous environmental, mechanical and human factors. Geographic regions with climates having higher humidity, for example, will warrant HVAC system inspections on a more frequent basis, due to the increased potential for microbial amplification. If the inspection of an HVAC units air-handling components reveals contamination, then supply and return ductwork must be inspected during the same inspection time rather than in accordance with the intervals specified.

What can I do to keep my HVAC system clean?
Filtration is key. Keep a regular filter changing system to help with the life and cleanliness of your HVAC system. One should also ensure that coils remain clean.

How long does it take to clean?
Depends on how many ducts you have and how accessible they are.
